Today the Baitasi (White Pagoda Temple) was my aim. The name already tells one that there is a White Pagoda. It is a Tibetan Pagoda like the White Pagoda in the Beihai Park. In 1271 Kublai Khan let build the White Pagoda. It was designed and built by the Nepalese Arnigo. It is 50.9 m high and so it is higher than the White Pagoda in the Beihai Park (36 m high). After visiting the temple and the White Pagoda I ate in a near Hutong. Afterwards I walked to the train station in Beijing. On my way I took some beautiful photos of the Jade Island with the White Pagoda in the Beihai Park.
