Day 7 (14.05.2007)
Today I first went to the Apakh Hoja Mausoleum. This mausoleum was built in 1640. I first had a look on the building from the outside and then from the inside. Inside there are many coffins. Then I sat on a camel and the owner took some photos of me, with the Apakh Hoja Mausoleum in the background. For me it was the first time to sit on a camel. A camel is very tall and when it gets up or sits down then one has to hold on in order not to fall down. Near the mausoleum I could see a traditional Uyghur dance and hear traditional Uyghur music. Then I went to the Yusuf Has Hajib Mausoleum. I was the only tourist here. It was very interesting and beautiful to see the Islamic art of these both mausoleums. From the Yusuf Has Hajib Mausoleum I walked to the Old Town and I ate in a restaurant. Afterwards I walked a little bit more through Kashgar.
