Day 9 (16.05.2007)
After I finished breakfast my driver came back from Kashgar and we went south on the Karakorum Highway, the town Tashkurgan was our aim. In Tashkurgan and in this region there live many Tajiks. The Tajiks are an Iranian people. The elevation in Tashkurgan is about 3200 m. I walked a little bit through the town. Afterwards my driver showed me the ruin of an old fortress. From the fortress one has got a beautiful view. Later we went to a restaurant for dinner and afterwards the day was over.
