Day 6 (12.09.2007)
Today I went to the subway station Fuchengmen by subway and then I walked east. First I visited the Lidai Diwang Miao. It is a temple where the emperors of the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644) and the Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911) worshiped former emperors and important persons. It was built in 1530, during the Ming Dynasty in the 9th year of the era of Emperor Jiajing (period of government: 1522 - 1566). I walked through the temple and I saw many halls and steles in the stele pavilions. Afterwards I left the temple and I went to the Guangjisi (Temple of Great Charity). In the temple courtyards there are many trees and plants and so it is green. The temple is not far from a main street, but nevertheless it is quite clam here and so one can relax and meditate. After I left the temple I walked a little bit through Beijing.
