Day 1 (04.12.2007)
In the afternoon of this day I went from Beijing to Hohhot (captial of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region) by train. It took the train about 10 hours and so I arrived in Hohhot at night. Hohhot is located about 420 km (as the crow flies) west of Beijing. Chinese, who do not know each other before, start a conversation very quick and on the train I also talked to some Chinese. The inscriptions in Inner Mongolia are in Chinese and in Mongolian. In Inner Mongolia there live much more Han Chinese than Mongolians.
