Beryl


Beryl has got the chemical formula Al2Be3[Si6O18]. He is quite hard and on the Mohs' scale he has got the hardness 7.5 to 8. He crystallizes in the heagonal system. Emerald (green), aquamarine (blue), heliodor (yellow), morganite (rose) belong to the beryl. Often beryl can be found as well grown hexagonal crystals.
