Malachite
Malachite has got the chemical formula Cu2[(OH)2|CO3]. He crystallizes in the monoclinical system and his hardness is only 3.5 to 4. Malachite belongs to the copper carbonates. In nature he can be found in the form of tubers. He has got different green tones. We can only see the green tones in different layers when we cut through the malachite. Malachite is not transparent. In antiquity different things and jewels were made of malachite. During the tsar time in Russia the malachite was used for many decorative purposes. Malachite can be found in Russia, in the USA, in Australia and in Zaire. In former times people thought that he has got positive effects.
